This training will focus on highlighting the importance of using diversity-equity-inclusion-justice (DEIJ) frameworks in Hepatitis C virus (HCV) surveillance, treatment, and prevention.

Audience

Local public health and healthcare workforce involved in infectious disease in MI and beyond

Learning Objectives

  • Describe current health inequities and disparities that exist for Hepatitis C virus (HCV)
  • Recognize the value-add of integrating a diversity-equity-inclusion-justice (DEIJ) framework into infectious disease practice
  • Explain how infectious disease professionals can combat HCV spread using a DEIJ approach
  • Identify 2-3 HCV treatment, prevention, and access approaches that implement DEIJ principles
